Neuropathic pain hardly seems fair. If you cut the cable on a television, the television goes dead. One might hope that if you injure a nerve, the nerve would only go dead too. A patch of numbness, a few weak muscles - you can live with that. Instead, the injury also inflicts just about the worst pain there is. Some patients say that it's worse than childbirth. Others say that if there was a gun on their bedside table, well…[1]
