Neuropathic pain hardly seems fair. If you cut the cable on a television, the television goes dead. One might hope that if you injure a nerve, the nerve would only go dead too. A patch of numbness, a few weak muscles - you can live with that. Instead, the injury also inflicts just about the worst pain there is. Some patients say that it's worse than childbirth.
